Performance Analysis and Comparison of an Experimental Hybrid PV, PVT and Solar Thermal System Installed in a Preschool in Bucharest, Romania

The demand for on-site production of energy is showing a rapid increase as the trend decentralisation and self-reliance gains momentum. This paper studies compares three main solar technologies: photovoltaic, thermal panels hybrid photovoltaic panels. A prototype experimental installation consisting aforementioned technologies was set up on campus University Politehnica Bucharest. Data were collected over several months, then instantaneous power overall system performance computed. analysed in four types weather patterns, its suitability assessed each case. results show that PVT closely connected to dissipation storage tank. In addition, collectors can outperform PV accordance end user when used an with suitable dimensions.
